What is a Meal Plan?

A Meal Plan unlocks delicious meals, coffee, snacks, and more, at 20 locations across campus. Your Meal Plan includes Meal Swipes and Flex Points conveniently loaded onto your Cardinal Card. No need to carry additional cards or cash!

Meal Swipes are used to get into The Ville Grill, our all-you-care-to-eat dining hall. All other dining locations accept a Meal Swipe for a full Meal Combo except for Starbucks, Zen Sushi, Lueberry, Prime Grill, and Global Eats

Flex Points

Flex Points are included with your meal plan, and function similarly to a gift card. Flex Points can be used at any of our dining locations. Unused Flex Points carryover from the Fall to Spring semester. Add additional Flex Points at any time.

Guest Meals

Guest Meals

Guest Meals can be used to treat friends or family to a meal in The Ville Grill. Guest Meals are only available on the All Access plans.

Meal Plan Summary

All students (undergrad, graduate, post-doctor, etc.), living in campus housing are required to participate in a mandatory meal plan. The standard meal plan and optional meal plans are determined by where you reside. All students living in traditional housing will be enrolled in the Traditional Meal Plan. All students living in on-campus apartments or affiliated housing will be enrolled in the Apartment & Affiliated Housing Meal Plan. All commuter students enrolled in at least 6 credit hours on Belknap Campus, will be automatically enrolled in the Commuter Meal Plan.

Managing Your Plan

You can check your Meal Swipe & Flex Points balance on your receipt after a purchase, or by visiting the Cardinal Card website.

Meal Plan changes are accepted online through the Cardinal Card website. Your Meal Plan will reset to the standard plan each semester. Fall 2024 Meal Plans and pricing are subject to change.
