These are the guidelines for the campus dining & catering effective July 2, 2021. Please also note that everything is subject to change.


Requirements forCatering Events


  • Staff must wear PPE when serving food (gloves, masks)

  • No ice buckets – bottled beverages or drink containers with ice

  • All buffets or food displays must have sneeze guards and be served by staff

  • Sani wipes and/or sanitizer available for all guests

  • No cash handling if possible

  • Following KY guidelines for seating and distancing


Requirements for Retail Locations:

  • National brands will have their own requirements that we will be expected to follow. We are working to get those updates now and can share them with you when we receive them. It would seem logical at locations where the food is already self-enclosed (Panda) or prepared by staff (Chic Fil A) that additional Covid plexiglass will not be needed.
  • Regarding Non National brands; when we receive updated guidance from corporate, Aramark will share the recommendations with UofL and we can make a campus decision from there.
  • All Brands - Staff must wear PPE when serving food or cashiering (gloves, masks)
  • All Brands - Sani wipes and/or sanitizer available for all guests
  • All Brands - Reduced cash handling if possible
  • Following KY guidelines for seating and distancing – returning all the furniture

Requirements for Ville Grill:

  • When updated guidance is received from corporate UofL dining will know more regarding recommendations for self-service items (pizza, dessert, salad bar)
  • Staff must wear PPE when serving food or cashiering (gloves, masks)
  • Continue to pre-package silverware
  • Remove cashier plexi glass
  • Continue with use of PC condiments
  • Sani wipes and/or sanitizer available for all guests
  • Reduced cash handling if possible
  • Following KY guidelines for seating and distancing – returning all the furniture
